In January I found out that I could save money by switching to a different insurance company. I wrote my agent, Malan Chakravarthi, and asked if there were anything I could do to lower my premium.  She found that it could be lowered slightly because of my age, but not enough to match what the other company offered.  Shortly after this exchange my wife was in an accident caused by another driver.  Having never been in an accident before we were a little unsure about what to do and must have called Malan five times in the first few days. Her response was incredible.  She was friendly, informative, helpful, and amazingly patient. The accident was minor, but she gave us her full attention.  In retrospect I should not be surprised since she has responded to every email I have ever sent her quickly and accurately.  That sort of customer service is hard to come by and I hope she is recognized for her outstanding performance.  Working with such a receptive and accommodating person has made it clear to me that staying with Allstate is the right choice.  Superior service is worth a few extra dollars a month.
